This Privacy Policy describes how Peldano Online Private Limited ("Peldano", "we", "us", or "our") accesses, collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when you use the Peldano mobile application, website, and related ordering and delivery services (collectively, the "Services").

Peldano Online Private Limited is incorporated under the laws of India with CIN U74999KL2021PTC070822. Its registered office is at Hallelujah Complex, Chengamanadu P.O., Kottarakkara Taluk, Kollam District, Kerala, India 691557.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

• Account and identity information: first and last name, mobile number, email address, account identifier, and authentication information.
• Address and location information: delivery address, landmark, postal code, latitude and longitude, and precise or approximate device location when you grant location permission.
• Order and transaction information: products ordered, merchant, order value, delivery instructions, payment method, transaction identifiers, order status, refunds, and support history.
• Payment information: payment status and transaction references received from our payment providers. Card, bank, or wallet credentials entered on a payment provider's interface are handled by that provider; Peldano does not intentionally store complete card details.
• Device and technical information: IP address, device or app identifiers, operating system and app version, notification token, diagnostic information, and server logs.
• Communications: messages and information you provide when contacting customer support, reporting a problem, or communicating about an order.

2. Location information

The Peldano app accesses and collects precise or approximate device location after you grant permission. We use location to identify your current area, check service availability, display relevant nearby merchants, help you select or save a delivery address, and enable order delivery. When you save or use an address, its latitude and longitude may be transmitted to and stored on Peldano's servers as part of that address and the related order.

The customer app uses device location while the app is open and you are using a location-based feature. Peldano does not intentionally collect customer device location while the app is closed or not in use. Location is not collected solely for advertising or analytics, and we do not sell location information.

Location associated with an order may be shared with the merchant and authorised delivery personnel as necessary to prepare and deliver that order. Location may also be processed by mapping and location-service providers used to operate the relevant feature.

You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings. You may enter or select a delivery address manually where that option is available, although some location-based features may not function correctly without permission.

3. How we use information

We use collected information to:

• create and authenticate your account;
• provide merchants, products, serviceability, ordering, payment, and delivery features;
• process and confirm orders, payments, cancellations, and refunds;
• contact you about your account or orders and send service notifications;
• provide customer support and resolve complaints or disputes;
• maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Services;
• prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorised access, and other harmful activity; and
• comply with applicable law, lawful requests, and our contractual obligations.

4. When and with whom we share information

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

• Merchants and delivery personnel: order details, customer name, contact details, delivery address, location, and instructions required to fulfil an order.
• Payment providers: including Paytm and PayU, to process payments, verify payment status, prevent fraud, and issue refunds.
• Technology providers: including cloud hosting, mapping and location services, Firebase authentication and messaging, email or communication services, and technical support providers that process data on our behalf.
• Professional advisers and authorities: where reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, protect users, investigate fraud or security incidents, or respond to a valid legal request.
• Business transferees: in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell or rent personal and sensitive user data.

5. Third-party services

The Services use third-party tools and may contain links to services not controlled by Peldano. These providers process information under their own privacy policies and contractual obligations. Relevant providers may include Google Firebase, Google Maps or device location services, Paytm, PayU, cloud hosting providers, and communication-service providers. Please review the privacy information shown by a payment provider before submitting payment credentials.

6. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal and sensitive user data. These include encrypted transmission using HTTPS where supported, access controls, authentication, restricted access based on operational need, and measures intended to detect and prevent unauthorised activity. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data retention

We retain account information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services. Order, payment, invoice, refund, and complaint records may be retained after account deletion where required for tax, accounting, consumer-protection, fraud prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legal obligations. Location saved as part of an address or order is retained under the same rules as that address or order. Information that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised in accordance with our operational and legal requirements.

8. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

• review or update certain account and address information in the app;
• withdraw location or notification permission through device settings;
• request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; and
• contact us with a privacy complaint or question.

9. Account and data deletion

You may request deletion of your Peldano account and associated personal data by using the account-deletion option in the app, where available, or by emailing support@peldano.in from the mobile number or email connected to your account. Please include "Account deletion request" in the subject and provide the registered mobile number so we can verify the request.

After verification, we will delete or anonymise the account and data that are not required to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, refund, or dispute-resolution purposes. Data retained for those limited purposes will not be used for unrelated purposes and will be deleted or anonymised when the applicable retention requirement ends.

10. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for people aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

11. Legal disclosures and transfer

Peldano operates from India and primarily provides Services in selected locations in India. Information may be processed in India or in other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards and law. We may preserve or disclose information when required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or another valid governmental request.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Services, technology, law, or our data practices. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
